A blush-themed welcome home decoration could help brighten your holiday season.
A new survey of consumers found that more than one in five Americans admit to spending money on a blush at least once.
The survey, conducted by Pew Research Center, asked respondents to rate their perception of the colors on a scale from 1 to 10.
The pollsters said they found that blush color preferences vary from country to country.
While most people in the United States prefer blue, people in Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Poland, Russia and Spain, and people in Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico and New Zealand are most likely to prefer red.
The most popular blush color is red.
A blush can also be used to create a unique holiday décor.
A blusher or blush duvet cover or a blush face pillow could also help make your holiday more memorable.
“The trend of blushing and red is so prevalent that it has become a sort of new thing, which is a bit ironic,” said Michael Litt, senior director of consumer research at Pew.
“I think blush is probably the most popular color at this time, but I think it’s also one of the least well-known.”
